Snap Dragons Nursery, Shirehampton – Conversion of Grade II Listed Building

Scope of Work: Conversion of a Grade 2 listed Edwardian house to provide nursery facilities over three floors.
The building had previously been modernised and used as a BT Conference facility and later as a Business Conference Centre. Much of the modernised works have been removed, and in sympathy with the original architecture, many of the original features have been replicated as replacements.
The new usage as the third Snap Dragons Nursery in Bristol, provides a valuable new day-care facility to Shirehampton and area. There are classroom/play areas, washroom/toilets with child friendly colourful cubicles incorporating vanity units and nappy change units. In addition to the commercial kitchen providing on-site food, there is child friendly kitchen used to teach and entertain the children.
The landscaping works to the front garden are exceptional providing a secure environment with enviable play facilities to challenge young minds. Adequate car parking and waste stores can be found to the rear garden This Snap Dragons Nursery was completed on time and ready for opening for the summer term.
