Scope of Work:
The complete re-modelling and refurbishment of ward on Level 6 of Queens Building, including the installation of an air handling unit.
This necessitated the closure of Upper Maudlin Street on a Sunday, for a crane to lift the air handling into a location of the roof of this 6 –storey height building.
This time critical project included removal and disposal of existing fittings, fitting out to newly created room layouts, state of art technology for mechanical and electrical engineering including enabling works for air handling unit, and hygienic wall and floor finishes.
Key to the success of the project was the final installation of air handling unit for mechanical ventilation to serve both Level 6 and Level 5.
The construction area shared space with operational hospital premises on the same floor, and the client’s needs and requirements were constantly considered throughout the project duration.
