Scope of Work: The contract was for the fit-out and alterations to convert an existing Georgian building retail unit into a boutique indoor cycling studio, located at the heart of the fashionable Milsom Place, which included stripping out and the creation of a new sports facility.

Works involved the installation of new electrics, ventilation, air-cooling facilities, soundproof studio, installation of male and female changing rooms complete with shower facilities, vanity wash-hand basins and locker rooms.

The raised studio floor was raised and strengthened to bear the weight of some 27 Keiser M3i bikes.

Because of a busy city location site, there were many challenges associated with access difficulties, in transportation of materials to and from the premises, noise prevention, mitigation to reduce inconvenience to neighbouring businesses, and the constant passage of shoppers within the shopping centre. These difficulties were overcome by careful site management and planning, understanding and working with stakeholders through the project.
