Oakland Construction has built small developments of some 4/ 6 units for Knightstone Housing Association in Langport, Somerset, Sovereign Housing Association in Barton Hill, Bristol, and more recently for Bristol City Council in Easton and Fishponds, Bristol.
In 2014/15, the company received a High Commended Build Quality Award from LABC – Bath & North East Somerset Building Control, for an architectural award winning single storey house in Combe Down, Bath for a private client.
The company were proud to be awarded the Contract by Bristol City Council, to construct the first two council houses to be built in decades. These are in Easton, Bristol followed by another four timber frame houses in Fishponds, Bristol.
The new houses for Bristol City Council are built under the BRE Global achieving Code 4 for Sustainable Homes, and reflect the management and quality of build throughout the duration of each project.
The two house development in Easton received another LABC accolade as regional finalist in the South West Awards 2016, in the Best Social or Affordable New Housing Development category.
