Scope of Work: Following a successful completion of two previous housing schemes, Bristol City Council invited Oakland Construction to complete 7 number 1 and 2 – bedroom houses.
The location for the two sites is set in an established residential area, and following a risk assessment, measures were taken to minimise the inconvenience to residents in the area.
The key features of the timber frame superstructures in this case were the speed of erection, highly insulated shell, and reduction in wet trades.
The houses achieved an excellent score of 3.79 for the air tightness when tested.
The project also achieve a Secure by Design (SBD) certificate confirming that the project has been built to the Official Police Security Initiative.
