Scope of Work: On two blocks of maisonettes built in the 1970’s, Oakland Construction carried out extensive structural repairs to walkways on the 1st floor using a SIKA waterproofing system.

Other works involved refurbishment of stairwells, comprehensive external decorations, replacement of entrance doorsets to up-grade to fire rated and minor internal works.

This was a fast track programme to suit client’s requirements involving complex coordination with the residents to ensure seamless communication and their cooperation.

It was important to have a programme of carefully timed works so that the residents experienced minimal inconvenience. To assist the residents a temporary scaffolding bridge was erected whilst works were underway on the stairwells.

In this live environment with young families the site management was critical to the success of the project.
